The Beginning Laurel's Stitchery was started in June of 2001 in Fort Worth, Texas by Laurel (that's me!) and my husband Nick. In 2003, my job transferred us to Houston, Texas and the business came with us. In 2005, my job transferred us again to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
As many of you know, Nick passed away very unexpectedly in June of 2005. At that point, I seriously considered closing the business. My customers have been so wonderful since the very beginning that I decided I didn't want to lose out on them! Obviously, I decided to keep the business open and we're growing every day!
I am now remarried to a wonderful widower, Kurt and our first baby, Alison, was born in September of 2008!
You can read more about me, my dogs and the silliness of my every day life at my blog - laurelsstitchery.vox.com.
My Business Philosophy I always try to treat my customers the way I would want to be treated when I shop. Without my wonderful customers, I wouldn't be in business, so they are always the top priority.
